How we match and rank HVAC companies
Matching, public listing order, and paid lead participation are separate things.
How matching works
For homeowner introductions, we may consider the property ZIP, requested HVAC service, contractor service area, contractor lead eligibility, shared/exclusive preferences, and operational availability. Historical responsiveness or marketplace outcomes may become additional signals as real data accumulates.
Why no more than two companies
We do not want one homeowner request turned into a flood of competing calls. A shared request is limited to a maximum of two successful contractor introductions. An exclusive request is routed to one contractor.
Public listing versus lead participation
A company can appear in the public directory without participating in paid leads. A public listing does not mean the company is a Local HVAC Match partner. Lead eligibility is a separate private operating setting enabled only after a company agrees to receive opportunities.
How ranking works
Paying for leads or tools does not automatically buy the top organic/editorial position. Public page order may consider relevance, completeness, verification, consumer usefulness and—once enough reliable data exists—first-party marketplace signals. We do not sell a “#1 HVAC company” label.
